“Do not mistake my kindness for weakness and do not assume your intelligence is your strength. My body is not for your use, my heart is not your toy, and my soul is not for sale. When you lay back at night to sleep, sleep with one eye open. I do not make idle threats. I make promises. My last breath will not be until after yours,” she said the words with more confidence than she had ever felt in her life. She moved closer to him and looked him directly in the eye. She saw the twinkle of amazement or fear in his eyes. His lips widened into a wide grin.

“Oh, precious Anika,” he said with a slight whisper, “why do you want to make things worse for yourself.” He paused thoughtfully. “Make things worse for your family.” His lips tightened while he took a step forward. “I’m sure Mom and Pops wouldn’t want anything to happen to their little princess.” He reached out to touch her hair and she jerked back reclaiming her calm stature.

“You would be wise to leave everyone alone. You should only be concerned about me.” She tried to hide the fear that was rising in her voice. She felt her body begin to tremble as the adrenaline worked through her body. She was in his house, what if Daisy had begged for her life where she was standing. She wanted to break down in tears but was working hard to keep her composure.

“What about your Prince charming that has left you alone with the wild beast? Should I be worried about him?” He asked with a playful tone with his lips still locked in that awfully wicked grin. His face was beautifully evil. His eyes were a deep brown that almost looked black, chin strong, face full of pure evil.

She flared with anger when she thought about what he would do to Joe. Her whole body felt like it was enwrapped in flames, her skin burned and tingled. Boldly she took a step toward him while keeping her eyes locked to his. Seth’s eyes no longer had the twinkle of fear or amazement, they were cold and calculating. Her own eyes filled with hatred, rage and fear.

“I hate repeating myself,” she said trying to regain control of the situation, “leave everyone alone.” She wanted to reach out and smack him across the face, to reach around to the knife she had tapped against her back and slice his throat open. She placed her hands on her thighs trying to keep them from uncontrollably stabbing him and calm her hands from trembling.

“The princess is trembling, why?” Seth hissed as he took another step closer to her. She knew he was going to try and kill her, maybe even worse. She could only imagine what worse was, but she wasn’t going to let that happen anytime soon. Her mind flashed to Joe and knew how angry he was going to be that she had come here by herself, if she got out of here alive. “No answer for me princess?” He was pushing closer toward her, without any sign of fear only full of malice.

“Don’t… call me… princess,” she stumbled over the words slightly. His throat erupted into a growling chuckle. He stepped toward the doorway into the living room and motioned for her to enter. She hesitated before taking a few steps forward. “After you,” she said quietly not giving him any sort of vantage point. He relaxed his face and shot her a soft grin then walked to a large blood red leather chair that was sitting across from a single wooden chair.

“Please sit, princess.” He said calmly. She knew he would not pay any attention to the fact that she had asked him to stop, or maybe that made him want to say it more. She walked across the room, her tennis shoes softly patting on the floor as she went to the wooden chair. She stood next to it and waited for him to take a seat.

Seth was looking her over slowly. She caught his eyes moving up and down her body. Suddenly she felt extremely self conscious and wanted to cover herself with her hands. She felt his eyes on her slender shoulders moving down to her breasts that were loosely covered by the t-shirt she had on. They moved down her stomach then rested on her hips as she watched him slowly lick his lips. Quickly they shot back up to her eyes as he moved into his chair.

“How polite of you to wait for me to sit first, princess,” he said as he leaned back into the high back of the leather chair. She cringed every time he called her princess. Only her parents called her princess, she didn’t exactly know if he knew that or not. She eased herself into the chair and felt the knife blade press into her back as she leaned against the back of the chair.

“Let’s get this over with, Seth,” she said suddenly wanting to leave this house as quickly as possible, “tell me what you did to Daisy.” She trembled at the thought of what horrors her little girl had to face while he had her. She wasn’t sure she was going to be able to handle what he was going to tell her, but she had to know. She had to stop the nightmares that had plagued her for the last three years.

“That is not what we are going to talk about princess. I want to talk about you.” his voice was gruff and sultry. Seth leaned forward to rest his elbows on his knees. He was staring at her throat, she instinctively pressed her hand against it and wiped a bit at it as if there was something there.

“If I answer your questions, will you tell me about what happened with my daughter?” She answered him quickly. She glances around the room quickly and tried to memorize the room. There was very little in the room. A dark wood end table sat next to his large chair and a small lamp that barely lit the room on top of it. A large fireplace was along the wall opposite of the doorway and on top of it is a sword inside of a glass container. She looked back to him and tried to put on her best smile.

“We’ll see how well you answer my questions,” Seth said as he leaned back into the chair again. She knew he was exploring her with his eyes again, savoring every moment of her trembling before him. She took a deep breath and closed her eyes for a moment. A flash of images over took her which she fought off by digging her nails into her hand until she wanted to scream out in pain.

“Ask away.” She said quietly.

“What would you do to save your Prince?”

“Anything,” she said without thinking.

“You would give up your own life to keep him alive?”
